Make the most of each moment in order to be a boss and get sh!t done!
All of these things are so common in the entrepreneur realm, you may feel like if you’re not always multi-tasking and doing something to move your business forward, then you won’t ever reach the level of success you crave.
Yes, we should make the most of our time. But here’s a hint for you:
MULTI-TASKING AIN'T IT.
HERE ARE 4 “PRODUCTIVITY HACKS” THAT WILL HELP YOU MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR TIME WHILE KEEPING THE OVERWHELM AT BAY.
Rituals and Habits: Simply put, a ritual or habit is a consistent way of doing something. Take a good look at your rituals. What are you doing that you should not be—or that should be moved to another part of your day? Make your rituals more efficient and you’ll automatically get more done.
Calendar Management & Time Tracking: I really believe if something isn't scheduled, it won't happen. This can be client meetings, focused work periods, and admin tasks for your business. It can sometimes feel like the day just gets away from you. But using a time tracking tool like Toggl to track your tasks (I even track email checking) will show you where the time sucks are. Or maybe you're spending more time on a project than you realized. Make it a habit of treating your time like a precious asset and you'll experience some amazing changes.
Pay attention to your energy: The hustle mentality says to work all day. Push through! Sleep when you're dead! But have you ever considered you can do better work, be more creative, and be a better communicator when you're not pushed beyond the limit? When you're rested. This means taking breaks throughout the day, working for the amount of time that your energy says is correct for you, and sleeping when your body is calling for rest. When you always push through, you'll eventually hit a roadblock.
Focus: Multi-tasking is impossible. We've been taught that it is...but for most people, it's NOT. You cannot efficiently create your best work while you’re simultaneously scrolling Instagram, shopping on Amazon, and responding to every single text as they come in. Instead, use your calendar to block time off for important tasks, then turn everything else off so you can focus. If you give focused work a try, you don't have to worry about trying to re-enter the zone after every distraction. Tune everything and you’ll find your work getting done much faster. Ayyye!
